Since their inception in 2011, Sydney three-piece Bloods – MC (lead vocals/guitarist), Sweetie (bass/vocals) and Dirk (drums) – have crafted high-energy punk rock to dance to.

The group quickly outgrew their bedroom jam sessions to become favourites of the local Sydney music scene, and released their critically acclaimed Golden Fang EP in 2013. Bloods had a massive 2015 following the release of their debut LP Work It Out (2014), which culminated in showcasing at SXSW, touring the US alongside fellow Aussies The Preatures, and sharing the stage around Australia with bands such as Sleater-Kinney, Wavves and Peaches.

Garage-pop trio Bloods are back in force with their latest single ‘Bring My Walls Down’, the shimmering first preview of their upcoming sophomore album due for release in 2017.

Working with producer Shane Stoneback (Sleigh Bells/M.I.A/Fucked Up), Bloods pair bright, dreamy vocals with an infectious chorus, a summery melody and coat them all with fuzz. The wall-of-sound production that Stoneback brings to Bloods’ riot-grrrl-meets-girl-group punk shines throughout the track as the brutal-as-ever guitars are juxtaposed perfectly by MC and Sweetie’s glittery harmonies.
